Increasing the Reach of "It's Time for Education" Digital Magazine by 50% to 45,000 Readers a Month
Immediately after the war started, we decided to use our digital platform “It’s Time for Education” as a focal point of information for educators across the country. The magazine increased the frequency of its publications to three articles per day, including case studies of educational practice and pedagogic tools to deal with trauma. We collaborated with Ynet, Israel’s most popular news site, in sharing content for teachers and parents. We conducted visits to learning centers of evacuees to collect visual testimonials by educators. In addition, hundreds of teachers have joined a special group of the magazine on WhatsApp.
Now, we wish to further expand the reach of the magazine, enabling teachers to showcase and exchange their teaching practices and accumulated expertise during the war. The need for such content is crucial due to the swift changes and modifications in educational circumstances, and the specific practice that is applied. As the Ministry of Education temporarily halted the learning communities of teachers, they found themselves without their peer group, with which they usually share and consult.
In analyzing the Magazine’s data, we found out that it had 30,000 readers a month since the war started, of which 50% accessed through Google, 33% through the weekly e-mail newsletter and the WhatsApp group, and 17% via social networks. Now, in the coming three months, we wish to improve our SEO performance and optimize advertising on Google, and to increase the subscribers to both the newsletter and the WhatsApp group. Posts on social media will drive the readers to visit and read the articles. The expected result is a 50% increase in the number of readers.
