In 2025, the Trump Foundation is taking its first steps towards implementing a roadmap to prepare Israel’s next generation of excellence in science and technology. Cultivating this generation is a key driver for Israel’s recovery after the war and for restoring and rebuilding the country’s competitive edge.
The foundation’s primary effort is dedicated to developing a portfolio of programs and capabilities in the education field in collaboration with dozens of educational organizations, hundreds of professionals, and thousands of teachers. Rapid and effective progress will depend on strong professional dialogue and successful coordination among these stakeholders.
In light of this, we propose dedicating a concerted effort in the coming year to building professional communities around the foundation’s roadmap. The goal is to raise awareness, share knowledge and experience, and foster collaborative learning and partnerships.
We therefore plan to hold convening activities in 2025 that will focus on five key areas aligned with our roadmap:
- High-tech Matriculation – Establishing a professional network for the foundation’s grantees in local authorities and education networks, and holding three joint learning sessions.
- International Standards – Organizing two academic meetings with university researchers specializing in statistics education to highlight the subject’s importance in the 21st century.
- Artificial Intelligence – Launching a network of leaders of pilot programs who will hold five annual workshops, online sessions with global experts, a gathering with AI teachers, and a conference for 150 participants.
- Mental Resilience – Forming a working group of policymakers, scholars, and practitioners to hold three seminars and create a cluster network of experts and grantees. Additionally, a study day will be held to explore the shared conceptual framework.
- Gender – Creating a learning group of organizations and professionals, holding three annual sessions to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and analyze data and trends.
Furthermore, the foundation plans to host a seminar to launch a Hebrew-language book featuring selected articles by the late Lee Shulman, a gathering for prominent education leaders focused on building the next generation of excellence in the post-war era, and organize joint learning sessions with philanthropic foundations on shared areas of interest.
