Support to Maintain the Teaching of Physics for 400 High School Students of Netivot, Sderot and Ofakim
The Schwartz Reisman Science Education network is a philanthropic initiative of a Jewish Canadian family, in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute. The network established seven science centers, offering formal studies of physics and chemistry to high school students in Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, Rehovot, Kfar Saba, Akko, Jerusalem and Netivot.
The Center in Netivot teaches 400 high school students from Netivot, Sderot and Ofakim, with 11 expert physics teachers. These cities were hard hit in the October 7th attack and their residents were evacuated to hotels and guesthouses across the country. The Center seeks funding to maintain the teaching of physics through online and local learning. The grant is required for tutoring, mobile laboratory equipment, transportation and logistics.
