Workshops for coping and resilience during wartime
The Community Stress Prevention Center
The Community Stress Prevention Center
The Community Stress Prevention Center (CSPC) was established in 1981 by Professor Mooli Lahad, to serve as a frontline trauma treatment center in Northern Israel. Mooli Lahad is a world-renowned expert in psychotrauma and the founding president of the International Stress Prevention Center. In consultation with the Ministry of Education’s psychology unit, we approached CSPC to offer support for a designated effort to assist schools in the Southern and Northern regions of Israel during the war.
CSPC are planning a series of four online and offline workshops for 1,000 school principals, counselors, and teachers. The school teams will be organized in groups of 20-25, keeping to the original team of each school. In these workshops, the educators will learn how to identify students in need, how to organize interventions and apply coping and resilience tools, and how to follow up on progress. In addition, CSPC will convene 10 open webinars for educators across the country with leading experts, over a period of four months.
