Intel Israel

Intel is one of the most important producers of microchips and microprocessors in the world. Intel has operated in Israel ever since it opened its Israeli branch in 1974. Today, Intel Israel has development centers in Haifa, Jerusalem, Petach Tikva and Yakum as well as production factories in Jerusalem and Kiryat Gat—which develop and create microprocessors and telecommunication products. In 2013, Intel employed 10,000 workers in Israel. Intel Israel is one of the leading companies in Israel in corporate social responsibility (CSR), and is the only international company in Israel which publishes an annual CSR report, which it has being doing for the last nine years. The company is part of the 5×2 initiative to double the number of students taking 5 units of high school mathematics in Israel.
