Classrooms replicated the work environment, with students organized in rows, lessons divided into shifts, and curricula prepared in standard manuals and operated via textbooks. Teaching was dedicated to instilling knowledge and technique, while excellence was a rare alternative for the very few. Since then, the world has been changing dramatically and teaching is requiring more expertise, professionalism, and personalization.<br \/>\nWithin these changes, the promotion of excellence is also in turmoil.
